“No One Can Talk To A Veteran Like A Veteran Can”
--Ret. Lt. Colonel, John Walus, Esq.

Ret. Lt. Colonel, John Walus, Esq., heads up the Macomb County Veterans’ Treatment Court Volunteer Veteran Mentor Program.  This unique program involves the assignment of a volunteer veteran mentor to every veteran participant in the Macomb County Veterans’ Treatment Court.  Mr. Walus attempts to assign veteran mentors that are of similar age and service experience.  Veteran mentors listen to the concerns and problems of the participants and assist them in finding solutions.  Mentors provide feed back, highlight veteran participant successes and a good dose of straight talk when failures occur.
